Environmental education is an education oriented to protection and formation of the environment on all levels of the society. The Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic is a central body of state administration for formation and protection of the environment, which in concordance with the Statute supports environmenal education and studies; forwards promotional, editorial and documentation activities and forms a space for development of environmental awareness of the public via the activities of its subordinate organizations. The Slovak Caves Administration performs educational activities oriented to cave protection and provides for publishing and editorial-promotional activities aimed at protection, research and documentation of caves.
The Slovak Caves Administration employees render on demand environmental-educational lectures within the framework of their working possibilities at the occasion of various events (Speleological Evenings in the Slovak Museum of Nature Protection and Caving, Earth Day, accompanying events during exhibitions, etc.).
